Gilbert Rotary attended the Scouting Arizona Leadership Breakfast
Members of the Gilbert RC attended the Trail to Leadership Award Breakfast honoring John & Dawn Giles and Mark & Carrie Schnepf, on May 19, 2026, a fundraiser for Scouting Arizona.
John Giles has served on the Mesa City Council, and beginning in 2014 as mayor. The Schnepf family has been very active in Queen Creek and surrounding communities on the East Valley. Both couples have also been active in scouting.
Scouting now includes both boys and girls, providing practical lessons in leadership. In Arizona alone, over 75,600 hours of community service were recorded, helping over 5,000 youth, with 2,799 adult volunteers. There were 272 Eagle Scouts earned in 2025. As in the past, Gilbert RC is pleased to donate financial support as part of its commitment to youth in the community.
