Rotary Club of Mineral Wells will host its annual Four-Speech Contest on Thursday, March 3, 2022. The contest will take place in the Community Room of the Mineral Wells Area Chamber of Commerce beginning at 6 p.m. The contest is open to all high school students in Palo Pinto County. It is an oral competition whereby contestants deliver a speech and are judged by their incorporation of Rotary Club’s four guiding principles:
Is It The Truth?
Is It Fair To All Concerned?
Will It Build Good Will and Better Friendships?
Is It Beneficial To All Concerned?
At stake are scholarship prizes of $1,000, $500 and $250. The winner can advance to district competition with the chance of winning additional scholarship prizes.
