Weekly Programs

The president-elect is responsible for obtaining speakers for weekly programs and assuring their interest and appropriateness for our membership. As Rotary International is a non-political, non-religious organization, programs featuring candidates for
public office and other election issues must provide for all sides to be represented and as such to be presented in a balanced format. Proselytizing and sales promotion talks are not allowed.

The president-elect may recruit other members to assist in securing programs, assuring that the Avenues of Service are included in the programs as well as others that educate members about Rotary International.

The president–elect is responsible for verifying the spelling of the speaker’s full name and title, when appropriate, and communicating this to the president and to the Rotator editor.
