Youth Protection Training and Online Link

Rotary International provides many opportunities for Rotary Clubs to work with youth through the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, Interact, and Camp RYLA.  Clubs throughout the world also have youth-related programs, which mentor or tutor young people. The Los Altos Rotary started a mentoring and tutoring program over 20 years ago, aptly called Mentor-Tutor Connection, which provides mentors and tutors for children in three school districts in the area. LARC also supports an Interact Program, and the Rotary Youth Leadership Award.

Rotary International has created an Abuse Prevention Policy for all Rotarians who work with minors, either directly or indirectly. It is a requirement that ALL members of the Los Altos Rotary Club take this one-hour on-line training. It is a requirement on the Red Badge Checklist.

At the end of the Training, you will be able to print out a Certificate of Completion. Print this out and give it to Randy Kreigh, the Abuse Prevention Officer for the Club.

The District will also retain a record of your successful completion of this training in their data base, which includes all Rotarians in District 5170.
