We provide support, camaraderie, and mentoring to veterans, active‑duty service members, and military‑affiliated students at Foothill College. Our funding covers scholarships, books and instructional materials, emergency housing, and weekly lunches. With the help of our generous supporters, we have contributed nearly $1.4 million and assisted 4,000 veterans and military‑affiliated students since 2012. During the 2025–26 school year, we awarded 228 grants totaling $135,500. In this video, students share how Foothill’s Veterans Resource Center and Rotary have supported their transition to civilian life.

Each year we host our signature fundraiser, Pasta for Vets. Next year’s dinner and auction will be held on Friday, March 19, 2027, in the Grand Oak Room at the Los Altos Community Center. Tickets will be available beginning January 2027. In this video, Rotarians reflect on the founding of the Veterans Support Committee and why serving veterans matters.

The Club honors veterans with a special luncheon program each Veterans Day. In collaboration with the City of Los Altos, the Town of Los Altos Hills, and the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, Rotary organizes the community’s Veterans Day observance in Veterans Plaza in Los Altos.
