The German Canadian Cultural Association is closed on December 29th and our board decided to cancel the regular meeting on the day.

White House Revisited

Solid gold urns worth $millions to decorate with flowers was a dream come true for the still aspiring florist and friend.

Could the President's china choice for the Chinese President's china be from President's Choice china? (Ivan Docker)

The chandeliers add a classy touch to this setting. The White House has fabulous, old chandeliers kept shiny 4 times a year when cleaned for 8 hours a day by a staff of 8, for 8 days. ..Shiny!

Roses, Orchids, The (first) Ladies In Waiting Room.... and of course, The Oval Office, where she could enjoy a moment to reflect on the short term joy of being there, right then.

Aware of what it has taken to be asked to display one's work and art, Heather enjoyed every minute of it. Even having a special agent to escort her.

Heather's bright personality was refreshing throughout the presentation.

Just like the beautiful Wheel of Fortune Bouquet she donated. "Lucky" Hans Granholm had Linda in the crowd to enjoy the winnings on the spot.

Christmas Dinner Brings Popular Pajama Appeal For Zebra Centre

NOTE: The chief purchaser and CEO of the Granholm household advises that Sears in Bonnie Doon has the best deal in town on P.J.'s -- $4.99 a pair. Go get 'em!

The Zebra Child Protection Centre is once again the specific choice of donations this Christmas season. The Centre says sizes from toddler to mid teen are welcome, both girls and boys. For those in the know, I am advised that the ‘onesies’ are popular amongst girls; otherwise tank tops/bottoms for girls and t-shirts/bottoms for boys.

To ensure total Club participation if you are not attending the dinner, Rose Marie will accept donations from members prior to Christmas at which time they will be delivered to the Centre.
