The Rotary Club of Sharpstown was formed in February, 1962, and formally chartered by Rotary International in June of that year. The membership represents a variety of business and professional leaders and enthusiastic volunteers who live or work in the area around the Sharpstown subdivision of Houston, Texas.
Through the contribution of the club’s members to the Rotary Foundation the Sharpstown club participates in all the worldwide service programs of Rotary International.
Since its formation, our club has witnessed first-hand the changing economic fortunes and population diversification of Sharpstown. Our club and its members are active in service projects in the community with special emphasis on the education of disadvantaged children and youth.
A number of our members act as mentors for at-risk High School students attending area schools. Our club also funds scholarships for high school and vocational school students in the surrounding community.
You are invited to learn more about our club and its community, regional and international activities by browsing this web site - and by visiting with us at one of our weekly club meetings!
The members of the Rotary Club of Sharpstown are a group of area leaders and other volunteers who have become friends and family through the interactions of our club social and service activities. We always have fun and we are always pleased to meet new friends like YOU!
