Houston is a vibrant tapestry of cultures from around the world, and there is always something new to discover right here in our own Sharpstown community. Join us for an engaging and inspiring program as Lorraine Change and Elaine Tao share meaningful perspectives that connect us more deeply to the world around us. Loloy has an exciting report from his recent trip to the Philippines and Ivan will update us on the next projects that the Houston Millennials are taking on - showcasing how local energy and global awareness come together to make a difference.

We have enjoyed an incredible year of growth—and we’re doing it again! This month, we’re bringing that same energy and momentum to welcome new faces and new possibilities to our Information Happy Hour!
Our Past District Governor Nancy will inspire our guests with a message that speaks to the heart of what Rotary is all about—connection, purpose, and impact. It’s the perfect opportunity for guests to discover why the Sharpstown Rotary Club is the place to build meaningful relationships, engage with the community, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
APRIL SERVICE PROJECT
The Eyeglasses Project, “Vision for Kids,” is making an impact again this month—bringing clarity, confidence, and opportunity to young lives right here in Sharpstown. Led by our passionate Millennials President and dedicated Club member, Ivan, this initiative serves students at Southwest Public School, helping ensure that vision challenges don’t stand in the way of learning and success. Through our collaboration with Dr James Troutman, Optometrist Dr Donna Jaszkowski of Sharpstown Vision Center and experienced Lions Clubs and the support of our District, this project reflects the very best of service in action—neighbors coming together to lift up the next generation. Join us as we help these students see a brighter future—one pair of glasses at a time.
APRIL FUNDRAISING
Spring always has new opportunities and 2026 is no exception. We’re excited to share that SWMD has committed to placing 125 American flags along Bellaire Blvd for four major holidays! Talk about a show of community pride!
Now the fun begins—flag-building parties are kicking off right away as we gear up for Memorial Day. Grab some friends, bring your energy, and join us as we turn teamwork into something truly spectacular.
