CCISD FFA Auction

Did you know…, that Seabrook Rotary supports CCISD’s annual FFA auction? You betcha and we love doing it! We call it our Trifecta since it benefits: 1) the school, 2) the students who raise the animals and 3) a local women’s shelter.

 

Every year the Seabrook Rotary Club purchases two show pigs. Weighing in at 250 lbs. and 234 lbs. respectively, 2016 winners Porgy and Bess, were transported to Dorek Brother’s Meat Market in Santa Fe. After processing, Seabrook Rotary delivered what amounts to a six-month supply of freshly processed meat to the Bay Area Turning Point Women’s Shelter.

 

Seabrook Rotary meets at 7 am Thursday mornings at the beautiful Lakewood Yacht Club. If you’re just a little curious or think you might be interested in joining Rotary or would simply like to learn more about us please accept this standing invitation to visit at any regularly scheduled meeting.
