David Braun is Pasadena Rotary Club's Friday, September 20, 2013 speaker. After a number of years in consumer sales, David Braun joined the Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP) in March 2005 as a project engineer in BAHEP’s Space Alliance Technology Outreach Program (SATOP).  In that capacity, he assisted small businesses in receiving free technical assistance that was provided by a network of aerospace related companies.

In July 2006, he was promoted to his current position, Marketing Manager - Aerospace, where he works closely with the aerospace contractor community that serves the NASA’s Johnson Space Center.  He markets the Bay Area Houston region to aerospace related companies throughout the country in an effort to get them to relocate to the area.  In his aerospace advocacy role, Mr. Braun organizes an annual trip to Washington, D.C., to meet with members of Congress to educate them on the benefits of funding a healthy human space exploration program.

He currently serves as Mayor Pro-Tem of the City of Nassau Bay.  He has a Marketing Degree from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.  His wife, Angela, teaches kindergarten at McWhirter Elementary, and his son, Michael, currently attends Texas A&M University.

Today, Mr. Braun welcomes the opportunity to discuss the FEMA Biggert-Waters Insurance Act of 2012 with our club.
