Gift Subscription: What do you get someone that has everything? Maybe you want a special gift for a birthday, anniversary, or "thank you" gift, Mother's Day or Father's Day? Maybe you know a veteran that you would like to honor. A Flags Across Kingwood subscription is a year-long gift that they'll truly appreciate. On our Subscription Form, all you need to do is complete the section with your information, and in the "Gift Subscription" section add their name, address, village name, and contact information. We'll even mail them a gift letter acknowledging you as the donor! Call us with any questions at (713) 598-7129 or send an email to CJSB@SuddenLink.net.
How Our "Flags Across Kingwood" Works
For a contribution of a $50 annual subscription, the Kingwood Rotary Club places an American flag in the front yard of a residence, business, or entrances to villages, for a total of these four (4) patriotic holidays:
★ September 11th (Patriot's Day) ★ Veteran's Day (November) ★★ Memorial Day (May) ★ July 4th ★
- Subscriptions can be started prior to any of the above holidays. Examples: Checks received in April will have the next four holidays of Memorial Day (May), July 4th, September 11th, and Veteran's Day. Checks submitted in October will have the next four holidays of Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th and September 11th (Patriot's Day)
- Flags are installed 1-2 days before each holiday, and picked up 1-2 days afterwards.
- Our Volunteer Delivery Teams of Kingwood Rotarians, U.S. Veterans with the Kingwood VFW, and members of the Atascocita High School Marine Junior ROTC. They are assigned a separate delivery route working within their available times before/after their job to deliver all the flags on their route within the date ranges listed for the delivery, and pickup schedule.
- We attempt to deliver all flags in a village the same day, but some may be delivered in the morning, and others in the afternoon/evening.
- If you haven't received your flag by the day before the holiday, call or email us.
- We must receive your subscription at least ten (10) days before the holiday.
- The flags are made in the USA and each flag measures 3 ft x 5 ft mounted on an 8-foot. high pole.
- The flag, pole, and metal stake remain the property of the Kingwood Rotary Club.
- Installation, removal, storage, and maintenance is provided by the Kingwood Rotary Club
