We are very proud to announce that Kingwood Rotary Club has endorsed and sponsored an applicant to advance to the final interviews with Rotary District 5890 Global Grant Scholarship Committee. If selected to receive the $30,000 2022-2023 Rotary Foundation Global Grant Scholarship, our applicant will spend a year abroad studying for a Masters’ or Doctorate degree.
While abroad, the scholar will represent Kingwood Rotary Club, Rotary District 5890, and Rotary International.
Their coursework and extra-curricular activities align with one or more of Rotary’s Areas of Focus: Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution; Disease Prevention and Treatment; Water and Sanitation; Maternal and Child Health; Basic education and Literacy; the Environment; and/or Economic and Community Development.
If selected, this will be Kingwood Rotary's third scholar including Thomas Mendez, which spent a year abroad studying in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Daniella Romero which studied in Geneva, Switzerland.
