Rotary Club of El Campo
donates $200,000 to
Wharton County Recovery Team
History was made on March 8 in Wharton County as the Rotary Club of El Campo presented a $200,000 check to The Wharton County Recovery Team. The proceeds will be used to help those in Wharton County who have been impacted by the Hurricane Harvey and the subsequent flood of 2017.
The money presented was raised during the Club's annual fundraiser and was a joint effort of El Campo and Wharton Rotarians alike.
El Campo Interact members, ECHS & ECMS NHS students and Boy Scouts Troops 1251 and 368 all joined in to help with this humongous undertaking.
