June is Rotary Fellowships Month

The Rotary Fellowships Program is a structured program of Rotary International that comprises more than 70 independent fellowships. They are independent, social groups that share a common passion. Being part of a fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world. Rotary Fellowships consist of members who share a common interest in recreational activities, sports, hobbies, or professions. These groups help expand skills, foster vocational development, and enhance the Rotary experience by exploring interests while developing connections around the world. Rotary Tree Planting Event, this Saturday 9 June @Paul Haggis Park, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Volunteers needed - a great opportunity for families and friends to work together, have fun and help the environment.

Breakfast of Champions Award Recipient
This past Tuesday at the Breakfast of Champions, organized by St. Joseph’s Health Care Foundation and the Middlesex branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), the two Champion of Mental Health Awards were presented by CMHA Middlesex.  They recognize a group and an individual who make significant contributions to mental wellness in our community.

Mental health advocate Kristen Legault-Donkers, a psychology student at King’s University College, received the ‘individual’ award for the series of books she published on depression, anxiety, ADHD and bipolar disorder geared to children. Through a partnership with our Rotary Club the books will be distributed to 100 elementary schools in the Thames Valley District School Board. Congratulations Kristen!
