Astros Bill Brown

Bill Brown, the longtime Houston Astros play by play television broadcaster, will be our very special guest on Thursday, January 29^th.  He will be sharing the excitement of the upcoming Astros baseball season and answering your questions.

Bill has been a member of the Astros broadcast team since 1987 after working as Senior Producer and anchor of the Financial News Network's SCORE program. Prior to that assignment, he was Sports Director of the Sports Time Cable Network, which televised selected games of the Reds, Royals and Cardinals.  He has received numerous honors including the Fred Hartman Award for Long and Meritorious Service at the 2012 Houston Baseball Dinner. He was inducted into the Houston Media Wall of Honor in September of 2011 and into the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame on November 12, 2004.

He is an author of two books, My Baseball Journey, a Sportscaster’s Story co-authored by Tim Gregg and Houston Astros: Deep in the Heart co-authored by Mike Acosta, gives a pictorial history of the Houston Astros.
