Rotary McCall’s
Angels Want to Wear My Red Shoes Campaign

Our District challenged all Rotarians to support the Angels Want to Wear My Red Shoes campaign. We would bring awareness to polio eradication by wandering the streets of McCall in these limited edition classic kicks. A pair could be purchased for $50 with all proceeds donated to Rotary’s Polio Plus fund.
So what did McCall Rotary do? Under Jim Boley’s leadership and guidance we bought 24 pairs of shoes! That’s stepping up to the plate in an effort to Stomp Out Polio. The club raised $2,226.96 toward Polio Plus...that's $30.93 per pair matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for a funding total of $92.79 per pair of shoes!

Governor Jennifer Deroin shouted us out on the District 5400 Facebook page and brought most of the pairs of shoes up with her for her Governor's visit in August. It was time to get snazzy! We slipped them on and…..here we are stylin’ at the McCall Golf Course!
From our president to our members: “Great work! These are the acts that make you, as a Rotarian, so very powerful and so very critical to making this world work for everyone!”
