We've reached almost two full weeks of treatment! We had some shuffling around last week as the machine he was supposed to start treatment on "went down" at the U and it required a specialist technician to fly in to replace a critical part. They decided to design a treatment on a different machine at a different location to get him started so we didn't miss out on TOO much critical treatment time but it was a little frustrating to constantly be changing appointments and locations. Thankfully, his regular machine is now fixed and we are back to our regular hospital and regular appointments.
Health wise, nothing much new to report (which I think is a good thing.) Justin is tolerating the chemo and radiation quite well so far! Some tiredness and nausea is starting but he's been able to maintain a lot of normal activities thus far. We know that the side effects of treatment take a bit to "kick in" so we expect symptoms to increase over the next couple of weeks.
Thank you again to everyone for the meals, the cards and overall generosity. I can't imagine going through this without our massive village of support.
