![]() | Good morning Rotarians! I have been in touch with the Wayzata Country Club and they are closed and have not indicated when they will be able to re-open. I will be working with the board this week to set up virtual meetings so that we can still get together and check in with each other. One question I know people are wondering about is meals. While the club is closed, we are not being charged for meals. For the April - June dues, I will be issuing a $40 credit to each active member for the meal charges for the two meetings that were either cancelled or moved to virtual. I will also NOT be charging for the April 1 meeting as we can assume that meeting will be virtual. If we do have to cancel additional meetings, I will issue another meal credit on the July - September dues. IF YOU WOULD LIKE YOUR MEALS TO BE DONATED TO THE FOUNDATION INSTEAD OF A CREDIT, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. George Lee has set up a virtual happy hour for us this week and I hope to see a bunch of happy faces. As a check-in, my family is healthy and at home. I moved my daughter out of her dorm at the U of M and she has managed to get unpacked and her bedroom set back up to feel like her dorm. My son is home and the school district gave them an extra week of spring break. Starting on April 1, I will get to be a home school mom. It should be interesting to see how successful I am and I'm sure will make my appreciation of the special education teachers and paraprofessionals that help him will be even more massive. They do a great job for him. Merlin the service dog, unfortunately, is a bit bored. He's used to going to work everyday with his boy and this sitting around and relaxing like normal dogs isn't his cup of tea. I hope we don't loose too much of his training!! If you have any fun stories or photos to share of your home time with members, please let me know. I'll compile them for next week's bulletin. Stay safe and healthy! Shelley | |
