Debra Jay is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and interventionist on alcohol and drug addiction. She has been a frequent guest on The Oprah Winfrey Show and more recently on Dr. Oz, writes a newspaper column, has authored several books on the subject, teaches on the subject at the university level, and has won numerous awards for her efforts. Debra has also worked as a clinical interventionist since 1996. She worked for the Hazelden Foundation as an inpatient addiction therapist on both men’s and women’s units in primary care. She facilitated the family program, coordinated the older adult program, and worked in the extended care, aftercare and outpatient programs, as well as designing their outpatient family program.
