Charlie Marvin Memorial STRIVE Program on Hold
Norrie Thomas shared at the WRC Board Meeting on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 that the program has run into a timing issue for the current school year. Starting the program mid-year has some difficulties that range from identifying the students, concern with the man power sustainability, and concern that the mentors will also find the program meaningful. The board voted on discussing the program again at the June meeting on starting the program in the fall for school year 2019/2020 and hear reports back on mentor programs and ideas. In January, the Board will also vote on whether or not to provide a lunch and scholarship program for the current school year. Member input is always appreciated.
