Dr. Arne Kolbjornsen, age 76, passed away peacefully January 19, 2017 with his family at his side. He will be sadly missed after making a great mark on those who knew him, including his family, the Wayzata community, and members of the Wayzata Rotary. Arne was a 40 year member of Wayzata Rotary, its president in 1982-83, and a Paul Harris Fellow. Arne worked tirelessly to lead Rotary to develop and gain grants to fund a dental clinic in the Dominican Republic. This project opened its doors in 2016, providing dental care for the first time ever to a remote village badly in need of his services. A dentist, Dr. Kolbjornsen knew the importance of dental care on overall health, and travelled to the Dominican Republic numerous times to ensure the project stayed on track with the highest quality. Our prayers are with his wife Kathie and their family.
Arne's funeral service will be February 9th at 11:00am with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Peace Lutheran Church 3605 Co. Rd. 101 N. Plymouth.
