Todd Mueller visited WRC and gave us an overview of his very charming book, Town Ball Parks of Minnesota. Todd shared how his love of baseball, and particularly baseball played in small rural towns, led him to writing this book. He has visited all the towns that have baseball fields and had a rather difficult time choosing which 27 fields to highlight in his book.
He also shared some fun facts:
* There are over 300 Minnesota baseball teams
* 15,000 people attend the annual baseball tournament
* The diamond patterns on the field are a play on light reflections caused by a steel roller ball bending the blades of grass in a certain direction
