David La Bell gave an overview of the current landscape in internet security and talked about hacking and ways we can protect ourselves both personally and professionally. The top areas of concerns are:- Phishing schemes have become more sophisticated

- Loss of Data
- Hacking
One of the best ways to protect your data is to have a password that is at least 15 characters long. It doesn't have to be particularly random and could be a sentence you use. He also recommends using a password management system such as "1Password" - NOT Lastpass! Other ways to protect yourself is the ensure your network architecture is strong, use a 2-factor authentication login (with challenge question and PIN), back up daily, and update your default username and password configurations.
