Collecting Financial Donations and Personal Options
Member, Justin Bullis, continues to recover after having a brain tumor removed and was given the bad news that Justin is dealing with grade 4 glioblastoma, a highly malignant brain tumor. He is meeting with oncologist this Friday and will start radiation treatments in November. Below is a list of ideas that the family has published for those who want to help. We are taking financial donations at this week's meeting. If you would like to purchase any gift cards you can bring them to the meeting and Shelley will collect and get them sent to his family.
- Volunteer to bring them a meal. If you click on "Ways to Help" on CarigBridge and then "Visit Your Planner" (or go to https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/justinbullis/planner), you will find the meal train. On a mobile device, I recommend the agenda view, the one that looks like a numbered list.Click on any unclaimed "Dinner Drop-off" task and click "Accept this task".
- Leave a supportive comment or send an email, and be prepared to not receive a response. Just know they are reading everything you send.
- Mail a card or letter and let them know they are in your thoughts: 16615 45th Avenue North, Plymouth MN 55446 . Please do not send flowers, or the cat will eat them!
- Invite any of them to spend some time together, with the understanding that they may decline. Coffee with Justin, playdate with Olivia, etc.
- If you want to help financially, consider sending a gift card. They shop at Aldi, Cub, Target and Costco for groceries. BiteSquad is great for food delivery. Lifespa at Lifetime Fitness has therapeutic massage services that helped Justin feel better after his surgery.
- Another financial option is to contribute to the GoFundMe account, also found under "Ways to Help" on CaringBridge or here: gf.me/u/v2n9gg. Liz and Justin have excellent health insurance, but there are other costs involved in this illness.
