Jordana Green - WCCO Radio
Members spent and entertaining and fun meeting listening and interacting with Jordana Green. She shared with us what it takes to do a three hour live talk radio show and shared her history from being in journalism to talk radio. During COVID, she does her show live from her bedroom with a microphone, headphones, and an iPad.
When asked what the hot topic is, she answered "race." It had been COVID non-stop until the murder of Geroge Floyd. The topic is around how to become a less racist society. It was interesting to note that talk radio, like cable shows are opinion shows. She said she is paid to have an opinion, much like MSNBC and FOX cable talent. When you are a journalist, such as on NBC/ABC/CBS, you are bound by ethics to provide unbiased news to the best of your ability.
