Ready or Not - Here Comes Gen Z!
Josh Miller gave a very insightful and eye opening presentation on how Gen Z views the world, what is important to this generation, and how they communicate. Generations are marked by events and this generation is marked by 9/11/01 - this will be the first generation that does not remember life before 9/11.
Gen Z follows the Millenials, which is the first and largest of group of educated young employees to enter the digital age. Generation X and Baby Boomers mark the end of a more linear view of the workplace. Gen Z are more financially conscious as they grew up during the recession and dealing with their parents economic down turn. Gen Z are future focused, want work/life separation, prefer face-to-face communication, and lean towards wanting employment that pays well and provides security.
