Lead by Example
Eleven Wayzata Rotary Club members are heading to North Minneapolis to meet Sherman Patterson's kids and cheer on the WHS boys team vs Minneapolis North! At a recent meeting we met two amazing men who have committed their lives to improving their community by influencing youth. Sherman Patterson is a community activist who is has founded "Lead by Example", and his close friend Larry McKenzie is the winningest coach in Minneapolis High School coaching history. Both are inspirations, mentors, and advocates for teens. After hearing their story, we asked "how can we help?" They answered "come meet our kids, come to our neighborhood." Tonight's the night, and we look forward to hearing more about this field trip at Wednesday's meeting.
