Revised needs - March 4, 2019

Wayzata Rotary is run by volunteers (with the help of a paid position to do the website, newsletter, billing, and administrative behind the scenes work.)  The club is in need of several committee leads:
 
Treasurer:  James Larson is no longer able to be the club Treasurer due to work conflicts.  This is an executive board position.  Treasurer responsible for helping President and President Elect with rotary budget creation, providing spending updates to board, and for delivering weekly deposits to Anchor Bank after each meeting.  
 
50/50 Committee Lead:  The 50/50 program raised over $3,000 last year for community grants and is in need of a committee lead.  If you are keen on helping out the community and get a kick out of raffles and interfacing with members each week, this would be a great position to take up in the club.  Estimated personal time: 1 hour/week plus selling tickets at each meeting or finding a member to sell.
 
Programs Committee Lead:  In July, Angela Bernhardt is going to step down as the committee lead on programs .  This very important behind the scenes position will be available between now and July.  Angela has done a superb job over the last few years scheduling the members and reminding them to book a speaker, and input the weekly speaker bios and information into club runner.  If you enjoy scheduling, organizing people, and have ideas on what speakers would be fun to have visit Rotary, this would be a great position for you.   Estimated personal time: 1-2 hours/week - on own time.
 
International Grants Committee Lead:  During the 2019-2020 Rotary Year, WRC will be in charge the Area 12 Rotating Fund Program.  This is an international focused grant and is in partnership with the following clubs:  Excelsior (noon), Lake Minnetonka/Excelsior (morning), Mound/Westonka, Orono, Plymouth, and Wayzata.  Each club allocates $2,000 to the project and in order for us to get matching from the district, we must send a member to the district grant writing class.  Edina classes are on March 23 and April 27.  The class is 4 hours.  We did not get a volunteer to do this last year and lost out on being able to get matching dollars for projects.  We want to be sure that we can participate properly and get the most dollars for our project, so we will need 1-2 members to take up the task of being the international grants committee lead.  This project will be heavier on personal time up front and promises to be extremely fulfilling, particularly if the member has a pet international project they are interested in proposing the club support.
 
Community Grants:  Kelly Sater will be resigning as the committee lead in July so she can focus on her year of being WRC President.  Member would be responsible for collecting fall and winter grant applications, coordinating committee meeting to determine winners, alert winners, and complete check requests.  This role is active in April/May and Oct/Nov.
