Annual "Night to Unite" - Shared Meeting with Wayzata Chamber Members

Rotarians and COC Members came together to kick off the annual "Night to Unite" activities.  This year has been the "Year to Unite" as the community came together to support the family of fallen officer, Bill Mathews.  Officer Mathew's son, Wyatt, was a special guest of honor in attendance.  Wyatt wanted to share that his birthday is August 19 - hint, hint.  If any members would like to send him a card, you can send to him c/o the Wayzata Police Department.
The annual "Jim Fish Award"  was awarded to Dave Dudinski.  The Jim Fish Award is an annual Crime Prevention award presented by the Wayzata Crime Prevention Coalition (WCPC) to recognize a Wayzata citizen or Wayzata area business person for service to the community, past and present, in the area of “crime prevention.”  The award is meant to honor the recipient, and via the name of the award, to honor Jim Fish, who was instrumental in bringing and keeping crime prevention programs in Wayzata.
Honorary Rotarian and Wayzata Chief of Police, Mike Risvold, was the keynote speaker and shared information on current crimes and highlights of three criminals that were caught this year and how the police department worked clues to solve these crimes.
