Kari Groth Swan visited the Wayzata Rotary as a past Rotary Education recipient and shared her love of working in Education. Kari is the Executive Director for the Orono Foundation For Education, which contributes to preserving and enhancing the quality of education at the Orono public schools. It has become very common now for public school districts to raise private funds to help support the district in providing quality education to all students.
They have three buckets of funds they raise money for: Annual (Salaries, curriculum, and supplies), Endowment (long term strategic planning) , and Excellence (specific designated areas).
