Youth Exchange coordinator Steve Hance hosted our meeting and we were able to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Incoming RYE student Marion Jernais has arrived and we got to meet her for the first time. She attended along with Grant Helmich from her host family.  We looking forward to hearing from Marion at a meeting in the near future. Our primary speaker of the day was Leo Thiede, our RYE student from Germany in 2014-15, who was back for a visit with her twin brother Ludwig as a graduation gift from their parents.  Leo reminisced about her favorite Minnesota memories, and there were many.  She again thanked WRC, Steve, and her host families: the Hages, who helped her get adjusted and overcome language difficulties, and threw her a great birthday party; the Ramettas, who included her in a wonderful Christmas trip to Chicago, and the Stolfas, who provided a high energy environment, trips to LA and Mt. Rushmore, and support through the prom experience. Thank you to all who work to make this adventure a reality for our Rotary Youth Exchange students!
