Nice job hosting, Hope! Hope welcomed JR Boisclair back to another WRC meeting. JR plans to transfer to our club from his East Nassau, Bahamas club in July.  

 

Hope introduced speaker Tom Palm, a 50-year Lake Minnetonka resident, former Blake teacher, restaurant kitchen equipment salesperson, coffeeshop designer, and entrepreneur. His most recent venture launching Tonka Paparazzi, a Lake Minnetonka based photo service run from the crow's nest of Tom's specially designed photography boat. Tonka Paparazzi's motto is to "capture boating memories from a whole new perspective," and Tom spends his weekends taking pictures of anglers, partygoers, and recreational boaters in action on their watercraft. Tom posts his photos online, where they are now free to print out as memories and keepsakes, made possible by Tom's advertising sponsors. Tom shared interesting stories about building his business, including the mistakes, learning, and improvements he's made along the way. Fun fact: the nautical flag logo posted on Tom's boat and website spell out the word "SMILE." Don't forget to do just that when you meet Tom and his camera out on the lake this summer. Thank you Tom.
