Scholarships and Youth

The Youth Exchange Committee is responsible for expanding the program of hosting incoming foreign exchange students in Wayzata.  The committee partners with Plymouth Rotary Club to sponsor students. The students bear the cold, hard winter in stride the best they can, just like the rest of us, and navigate the busy hallways of Wayzata High School, making friends and living an American teenager’s life.

Wayzata Rotary sponsors students to attend the annual Rotary-sponsored entreprenurship camp held at YMCA Camp Ihduhapi in Loretto.  This camp is well-attended by students throughout the Twin Cities who learn the elements of merchandising, marketing, creating business plans and other skills necessary for becoming the next generation of business leaders.  It is coordinated by Rotary Clubs in the area and uses Rotarians to mentor the students.
