Grants for Local Service:

Our club selects community grant recipients twice a year. The Fall 2022 recipients are: 
 
Bloom Early Learning - $1,000

Established in 2000, Bloom is a non-profit early learning center. Bloom consists of a unique blend of private-pay and scholarship families. Up to 50% of capacity is dedicated to families needing financial assistance.

Hammer Residences - $1,000

Hammer Residences, together with Northeast Residences (NER), are one of the largest nonprofit residential service providers in Minnesota. The organization provides homes and apartments, support services, case coordination and care management, and travel services.

Hope Chest for Breast Cancer - $1,000

Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation, a Minnesota based 501(c)(3), has been a source of hope for local breast cancer patients and their families since 2001. They strive to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with treatment. The organization operates the Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Resale Shop in Orono.

Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners (IOCP) - $1,000

IOCP provide services in food, case management, emergency financial assistance, employment services, and child care resources to those residing in their service area.

Park Nicollet Foundation - $1,500

Park Nicollet Foundation funds programs and offer volunteer experiences that create safe, caring environments throughout Park Nicollet where patients can receive enriched, healing care. The grant will directly support Park Nicollet's Growing through Grief program which strives to improve access to grief programs for children.

TB1 Fund, Inc. - $1,000

TB1Fund's mission is to brighten days for patients and families at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital. Their primary goal is to help patients focus on recovery by providing items and experiences that not only distract and engage them, but also encourage recovery, be it mental, physical or emotional.

Wayzata Sailing - $1,000

Wayzata Sailing provides opportunities in STEM programming and sailing courses. The organization prioritizes access, equity, and inclusion alongside core safety and instruction principles. The grant will provide scholarships to sailing camps.

Our club provides ad hoc grants for international organizations. Past grants include: 
 

Operation Bootstrap Africa: $4,000 for building classrooms in Tanzania in 2012

Future Light Orphanage of Cambodia: $1,000 for scholarships in 2010

ShelterBox for Haiti earthquake survivors: $1,000 in 2010

Keystone Moldova Youth Center:  $6,000 in 2010

International Village Clinic of India: $1,000 in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008; $2,373.00 in 2007.

Compatible Technology: $1,000 for Medika Mamba children's nutrition in India, in 2010; $1,000.00 for preventing foodborne disease in Haiti, in 2009.

Genesis School of Guatemala: $3,000 for establishing a school lunch program, in 2009; $3,000.00 for establishing technological education in Coban, Guatemala, in 2011.

American Outreach to Ethiopia: $750 for soup lines, in 2009

Twikatane Ndola School of Tanzania: $2,000 for toolkits for graduating vocational students, in 2008

Prescott Sunup Rotary Club: $1,000 for a dam in Taxco, Mexico, in 2008.

Friends of Senegal (grant organized by Plymouth Rotary Club): $2,500 for mosquito netting, in 2008; $500 in 2011.

Antorcha de Vida - Ecuador: $3,046 for therapeutic equipment for disabled children, in 2007
