We toasted our 99th birthday at the meeting on May 3, 2019.
Our Social Events
A large part of Rotary is sharing time together. Rotarians enjoy the friendship of others both within our club as well as events that encourage interaction among Rotarians and the community.
Social events include Happy Hours, Car Rally, Silly Boat Regatta, Bowling and Pizza Night and Summer Picnic. Bridge Night is another opportunity for social interaction with fellow Rotarians and their partners. Bridge players get together once a month to play some cards and have a lot of laughs.
Rotarians and their families also get together for Christmas breakfast where club members cook a pancake and sausage breakfast and get to know the members of our club and their families.

We gathered at the Grand Hotel for drinks, appies and friendship.

Our Christmas celebration was rich with good cheer, laughter and Rotary friendship!

We enjoyed a fabulous evening learning the joys of wine tasting with Nanaimo Golf Club Sommelier Charles Stephens.

Members enjoyed a fun lunch after the Halloween themed car rally in October.

We celebrated our birthday on May 1, 2020 by cheering President-Elect Bob Janes on as he completed 100 laps for our 100 years of Rotary in Nanaimo!

Our first year in the Silly Boat Regatta was a great time...we didn't win, but we didn't sink either!

Some serious strategy took place at our annual golf tournament.
