BSU Women's Softball has a fun day at Hope House!
For nearly 50 years, Boise Sunrise Rotary Club has enjoyed a special relationship with the Hope House in Marsing, Idaho, a haven for children and young adults who have experienced difficult circumstances. Among the many ways we support this wonderful organization, one of the most beloved traditions is our summer softball series. Every week during the season, Rotarians and Hope House residents come together to play a friendly game, fostering fun, connection, and mentorship in a casual setting.

This year in late September, that tradition took an exciting turn when the Boise State University Softball team joined the festivities. To cap off the summer, the BSU team generously offered their time, talent and even treasure (leaving behind a collection of balls, bats and gloves for the Hope House) to host a softball workshop for both Rotarians and Hope House residents. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable moments. Watching the BSU players coach and encourage the young residents was heartwarming, and the enthusiasm was contagious. In fact, it was hard to tell who enjoyed the experience more—the Hope House residents or the women of the BSU team!

This collaboration exemplifies what Boise Sunrise Rotary does best: creating opportunities that connect different parts of our community in meaningful and beneficial ways. Whether it’s through sports, service, or friendship, we continue to make a positive impact that extends far beyond the game itself.
