A Catholic organization that originated in Paris,St. Vincent de Paul has served the poor internationally for over 180 years. Now, the organization is inspired by gospel values but independent from the church. St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho has had a presence here since  the 1940s, and the first Boise thrift store opened in 1976.

Ralph May has been executive director of St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho for the past five years. Prior to that, Ralph owned and operated a tropical, pasture-based dairy farm in the high jungle of Peru.

Join us to hear about the organization's mission and work to help people in need by assisting with food, housing expenses, clothing, furniture and other basic human needs through generous donations of goods, food, volunteer time and financial support. Our club has an ongoing relationship with St. Vincent de Paul Southwest Idaho, having held several food drives at the Glenwood-Chinden Fred Meyer and awarded a grant for a reentry program a couple of years ago.
