Rotary Club of Littleton

The Littleton Rotary Club was founded in 1927 and is now made up of fifty-eight members from the local area. The club is part of Rotary International - an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.

WEEKLY MEETINGS.  The weekly meetings of the Littleton Club are held Wednesdays at 12:15 PM at the Topic of the Town restaurant on Main Street in Littleton.  These meetings allow members the opportunity to enjoy a weekly program, discuss community projects, enjoy each other's fellowship, and learn more about our community, state or world.

ROTARY AROUND THE WORLD.  There are over 32,000 clubs worldwide and over 1.2 million Rotarians. Rotary clubs include members that hold leadership roles in their businesses and subscribe to Rotary's motto "Service Above Self".   Rotary clubs work to better their local community, assist their international community, and encourage world peace.  Rotary International's current President Sakuki Tanaka has asked clubs to give particular attention to "Peace Through Service" during his term.   Rotary membership represents men and women from the business and professional community, and it is open to all cultures, races, and creeds.

OBJECT OF ROTARY.   The main objective of Rotary is service in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.
