Members shared Happy Dollars and the club Inducted NKEC as a Corporate member represented by Ian Campbell and Kevin Veinot.
Presentation: Sasha Ann Smith and Richard Saunders from the Jamaician Liason Service
The service began in 1966 and started with a pilot with 264 individuals, presently at over 9000, with 1,093 in Nova Scotia.
They provide things like site support to workers and employers, conflict resoloution, domestic and medical repatriation. They spoke about the process to employer a Temporary Foreign Worker and the benefits including - pre-screens, medical insurance, and ongoing support.
Then they answered questions about the program and Jamaica.
