brought us today's meeting.  He presented a slide show highlighting Hurricane Ike's impact to the Texas Parks and Wildlife's upper Texas coast wildlife managment areas.  These are the J. D. Murphy - Jeffeson County, Lower Neches - Orange County and Candy Abshier - Chambers County.  He presented many side-by-side before and after pictures showing the damaage to our beaches and marshes from the Ike. 

We have learned that these marshes are really our storm barriers and we must work to restore them to protect us from future storms.
