The theme for World Interact Week 2024 is "Inspire to Rise". This theme highlights the work that young professionals, or Interactors, do in their communities.
World Interact Week is celebrated during the week of November 5, which is also Interact's anniversary. Interact clubs are sponsored by Rotary clubs, which provide mentorship and guidance to Interactors as they develop leadership skills and carry out projects.
This week as we celebrate World Interact Week I would like to reflect on the pride I feel for the Bob Hope High School Interact Club. Each year this club has gotten bigger and stronger. We have our largest number of members at 80 for the 2024 school year. Our students have already participated in several projects like Sleep in Heavenly Peace and during World Polio Day they raised funds to help eradicate polio via the purple pink fund raiser. Many have already signed up to help with the Thanksgiving boxes, have volunteered to help collect toys and will attend RYLA. This looks to be one of our more engaged clubs. Last year's club was no slouch as they received a citation for the 2023-2024 year which will be presented on Thursday.
In honor of World Interact Week we will have members of the Bob Hope High School Interact Club ring the bell at Rotary. Hope to see you all there.
