Project MASS - Math And Science with Social Skills
 

Our program this week was presented by Shannon Woods Richard and Mustafa Abdul-Jabbar of the PAISD. 

Project MASS is a math, science and mentoring inititative, co-sponsored by the PAISD and the City of Port Arthur.  It is designed to afford students in the PAISD the opportunity to particpate in a hands-on math and science academy, with the added distinction of incorporating social skills training for our boys and girls and meaningful relationships with adults.

PAISD and the City of Port Arthur recognize the impact a positive adult can have in the life of a child or young adult.  They are committed and determined to help our young people prepare to succed in school and in life.

How can YOU help?  BECOME A MENTOR TODAY!  Simply complete the applicaiton preocess, participate in a one hour mentor training session, and commit to making a difference in the life of a young person.
