Ami Kamara - Museum of the Gulf Coast Curator
presented this week's program. She told about the Boot Scottin' Legends exhibit that is on loan from the Honky Tonk Hall of Fame and Road Show in Nashville, Tennessee. It includes more that 70 original concert posters and backstage photographs featuring conuntry legends such as Willie Nelson, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton and many more including a few artists featured in the Museum's Gulf Coast Music Hall of Fame such as Tex Ritter and George Jones. The exhibit will be at the museum from January 24th through March 21st.
Mardi Gras - This family friendly Festival features live performances, parades, carnival, vendores and more. The Museum serves as an entrnce offering paid parking, Mardi Gras tickets and discounted Museum admission of $2 for adults and children. If you park at the Museum it includes restroom access during Mardi Gras.
