Dec 22nd Program

Glen White, owner/head coach of this semi-pro football team, was our speaker this week.  He told about his goal to provide a showcase for the football skills of local young men who have not been able to play college football.

He feels that he can make a difference in these young men's lives by offering them an alternate to street life.  This is a non-profit organization that he and his wife support, with the help of donations from local sponsors.

He has taken his players to talk with students who are having behavior problems, and feels he has been able to make a difference in their lives.

Their season starts in March.  They play at the Memorial auxilliary field.  The team is always in need of donations for equipment.  The team is open for young men from 18 to 40 years.  He hopes some of his players will be recruited by Lamar as it rebuilds its football program.
