presented this week's program.  She informed us of her duties which include preparing minues and motions for the City Council.  She also codifies the City Ordinances and maintains records and documents for the City of Port Arhtur.  She handles requests for information under the Public Informaiton Act.  The city is now scanning their doucments to allow them to be searchable by computer.  She is resonsible for conducting elections for the City of Port Arthur and Sabine Pass school districts, the Port of Port Arthur and Sabine Pass Port Authority.  The city has recently acquired its own electronic voting marchines.
The City Secretary also supports the Municipal Court and Inspection Department.
She also administers the Oath of Office for the city.  She demonstrated this by administering the Oath of Office of Health Authority to Rotarian Dub George.
