Aug 2nd Program

this month's program chairperson stepped right up when his speaker failed to materialize (we won't go into that any farther) and gave a very informative program off the cuff. 

He began with a discussion of energy users.  While the Unite States is no longer the biggest energy hog in the world, (We have be pushed away from our spot at the trough by China.) we are still the biggest user of air conditioning.  Most of us grew up in a non-air conditioned world, but would not think of giving it up now.

Don used the rest of the time to talk about something quite timely and in the back of all of our minds - Hurricane Season.  The main message that he worked to get over to all of us - Get out and get out early if it looks like the man is going to say go.
