Fredonia Rotary Club to Host Free Film Screening
The Fredonia Rotary Club is excited to invite the community to a free public screening of the powerful new film "Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Trot" on Friday, October 3rd, at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Nacogdoches.
About the Film
Sound of Hope tells the inspiring true story of a small church in Possum Trot, Texas, where 22 families stepped forward to adopt 77 of the most difficult-to-place children in the foster care system. Their faith, compassion, and courage transformed lives and demonstrated how one community can make an extraordinary difference.
Panel Discussion with Producers and Local Leaders
Following the film, attendees will hear from Josh and Rebekah Weigel, producers of Sound of Hope, as well as local leaders who are deeply involved in foster care, adoption, and child advocacy. This conversation will highlight practical ways for individuals and families in East Texas to take action.
Community Resource Booths
In addition to the screening and panel discussion, resource booths will be set up to connect attendees with organizations offering guidance on adoption, fostering, becoming a CASA volunteer, and other opportunities to support children in foster care.
