Kristen Carlson, Past President of the Rotary Club of Galveston (center) displays the special tribute she received on behalf of her Club at the recent 100th Anniversary Celebration of the Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America held recently at Moody Gardens.
The Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, was founded and chartered by the Rotary Club of Galveston in 1919 when 60 members of the club contributed $4,000 to organize Galveston's first Scout council.
