Each year in Rotary is unique.  The year begins on July 1, and ends on the next June 30.  Each and every part of Rotary International changes on each July 1, from Rotary International down to each club.  Each year, also, the President of Rotary International sets an agenda for the whole world of Rotary, its international Zones, Districts, and individual Clubs.  For the clubs, the President of Rotary International promises to recognize those clubs that successfully carry out the programs the President of RI wishes to emphasize.  The annual requirements are broken down into the four Areas of Service of Rotary International: International Service, Vocational Service, Community Service, and Club Service.  The clubs that complete these requirements receive the Presidential Citation from the RI President as “Balanced Club Achievement.”  Our club has received such recognition for these years:

                        1996-1997                                           2004-2005

                        1997-1998                                           2005-2006

                        1999-2000                                           2006-2007

                        2000-2001                                           2007-2008

                        2001-2002                                           2009-2010

                        2002-2003                                           2010-2011

                        2003-2004                                           2011-2012

The Presidential Citations are the circular badges sewn on to the Club’s banner that is set behind the podium before every meeting.

Our club has also received two additional special citations: in 1996-1997 the Club was recognized for it’s per member contributions to Polio Plus, and in 2004-2005 (the Centennial Year) our Club was recognized for its Centennial Community Project.  Those awards are the white badges sewn onto the Club’s banner.
