Welcome

Welcome to the Rotary Club of College Station, Texas, club no. 2022. We are 100% Paul Harris Club which meets at the new College Station City Hall, only a short distance from Texas A&M University. Visiting Rotarians are always welcome to join us for breakfast at 6:45 AM on Thursdays. Our meetings generally have informative speakers, with the program ending at 8 AM.
Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
The Rotary Club of College Station is actively involved in support of community and international programs. Annually it recognizes outstanding local nursing home workers with its Florence Nightingale Award, and vital administrative staff in our businesses with its Very Impressive Vocational Achievement, VIVA, award. In early December the Club buys new clothing for children of need in the community. At Target, the parents and Rotarians pick out the items for these children. Afterwards the Outback Steak House opens its doors to a wonderful pancake breakfast for the kids and their caregivers, generally moms or grandmothers and the Rotarian helpers.
Our Club actively participates in support of the Texas A&M University Rotaract Club, the College Station Interact Club, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and is a strong supporter of Ambassadorial Scholars, many of whom have graduated from Texas A&M University. Health, family housing and welfare, and clean water projects are also of special interest to the Club.
Fundraising to support these activities and other activities is done through the Welch Charity tennis tournament in the spring and a Steak and Eggs breakfast for the community in the Fall. Rotarians also contribute regularly at meeting with a drawing and Happy Hour contributions related to matters of current interest to them. Meetings of our Club are informative, educational and fun. We also welcome potential new members.
